Random Sociopolitical Commentations with BAJE ONE from JUNK SCIENCE

baje-kung-fu-parking-lot.gif

Just so nobody gets this twisted, let me start off by saying that I think pretty much all politicians are crooks and devils. And to quote my man Mercury from The Dugout:“The devil is a devil even if it got a tan.”

Yeah that’s right, white people can call people devils too!

So that being said, I recently made the mistake of making a comment on a youtube video. You know that McCain video where they try to say that Obama is the same as Paris Hilton:

Very intelligent stuff as you can see. Clearly a U.S. senator with degrees from Columbia and Harvard Law is right there on par with some random, rich party girl who got famous for having sex in nightvision. No doubt.

But like I said, I decided to leave a comment. I thought it was funny how McCain is mad that Obama is so popular. (It’s just like rap!) I commented that nobody with a functioning brain should support McCain’s 95-year-old-one-foot-in-the-grave-lets-stay-in-Iraq-forever ass. I also said it’s funny how folks are getting upset on account of the fact that some people will vote for Obama just because he’s black. It’s funny because MAD AMOUNTS OF PEOPLE are going to vote for McCain just because he’s white (both of these things are “funny” in a we’re-all-gonna-burn-in-hell kinda way).

All in all, voting for the next president of the United States based on the color of their skin is a pretty cornball thing to do. But then again, we have been letting white dudes run things in this country for the last few hundred years and I think we can agree that that strategy hasn’t exactly taken us to the 'Promised Land'.

Now like I said, I’m not endorsing Obama per se, as much as I’m saying that if I do vote, I sure as hell am NOT going to vote for McCain. Both of these guys are politicians, so you know they had to tell a lot of lies and screw a lot of people over to get to where they are today. It’s safe to assume they both have a lil devil in them. But it just seems that McCain is the more devil-ish of the two. Un poquito mas diablo. If there were some sort of blood test to prove it, we’d find out that McCain is at least half devil.

Now, with no intention of confusing things, but with every intention of oversimplifying, let me put it this way: Voting for McCain just cause he’s a white dude would be like voting for Tom Cruise if he was running against Samuel L. Jackson. Samuel L. is no saint, but he’s a lot more righteous than Tom Cruise. Tom Cruise is a straight up devil. Samuel L. on the other hand, is deeply concerned with righteousness:

So anyways, I leave this comment on the McCain video, and like two minutes later I get an email that someone has replied to my comment. Of course, I go check it out, and it’s some angry dude saying, and I quote “Hey stupid, it has nothing to do with race! My choice was Condolesa Rice so there goes your idiotic race/gender theory. I suppose being the greatest country in history means things haven't worked out too well.

God bless the internet for letting everyone say what’s happening inside their stupid heads. First off, people really need to stop saying that things have nothing to do with race. This is America, of course it has to do with race. This guy wanted to vote for Condi Rice. I should’ve probably stopped reading right there and called it a night. But I’m so glad I continued so I could learn that he thinks the U.S. is “the greatest country in history.” Wow, I thought we were living in the Babylon of all Babylons. And to think, here I was, living in the greatest country in history, and I didn’t even know it.

So what have I learned from this experience? That I should never leave comments on youtube, that’s what. When I do that, I’m basically putting myself on the same level as any of the ten gazillion raving lunatics with internet access. But that being said, please feel free to comment on what I’ve just written. Just don’t come at me with that greatest country in history shit.

Until next time, don’t take no shit from no one.

peace,

 = baje

RE: "Greatest country in the world"

Today somebody came at me with that "greatest country in history shit."

Customs agent in Fort Lauderdale airport: "Where are you coming from?"
Me: "Nicaragua"

Dumb ass customs agent in FLL airport: "What are you doing in Nicaragua?"
Me: (careful with word choice) "I work for a non-governmental org..I mean.. non-profit organization there."

Dumb ass gringocentric customs agent in FLL airport: "How do you like it there?"
Me: "It's gorgeous."

Dumb ass gringocentric wrong customs agent in FLL airport: "But its noooothing like the United States, huh? This is the greatest country in the world."
Me: (concerned laugh/dumbfounded look/passport grab) "have a good night."

He was 3/4 devil. I definitely wouldn't vote for him.

I think we need to step into the 21st century, and stop limiting ourselves to the black/white convo. Judging from the simplified wisdom of this blog, I say we start looking into what the baje folks have to say.

Hmmm..

I mostly agree with what you're saying bro, but I do disagree on one point...that Obama being elected means a black man is running the country. Definitely a black face, and that can be great for the self esteem of millions of black and brown people not only in this country but in the entire world, but it seems obvious (at least to me) that Obama is a political puppet. And that may be the case for many a politician, but if he's not actually running the country can it really be said that the power has changed hands? I don't know, perhaps I'm just being pessimistic. Please don't jump on me people, if you disagree then educate. Word.

p.s: ultimately I feel our whole political system is fucked up and manipulated anyways, so yeah...word

Nice to see-hear you say "It’s funny because MAD AMOUNTS OF PEOPLE are going to vote for McCain just because he’s white," because it's not NICE but it's TRUE. the fact that the majority of people aren't willing to participate in that conversation (of course it's not about race! next topic!) scares me. and that's why democracy scares me, too.

and "with no intention of confusing things, but with every intention of oversimplifying," is a great internet comment condom. take protection into your own hands, ya know, before. . . yeeaahh. . .

oh ok

From what I gather here, you're basicly saying vote for the lesser of two evils, right? Fuck that shit, it's getting ridiculous to me. I can't believe there's so many 'tards out there on some "this is the greatest country ever" shit. We keep getting 2 piles to vote for every 4 years and we keep picking out the least shitty of the 2. Democracy is such a beautiful thing. I was all for that old dude Ron Paul. That guy made a ton of sense, but motherfuckers weren't feelin' him because they're too used to choosing from the usual 2 scumbag choices. Fuck politics.

Good stuff here. I agree with the idea that all politicians are evil so I find myself backing the Illinois senator because I think he has the least evil in him. What a great way to choose a leader!!! Lets face it, other than the arts and atheletics, black people have pretty much been shitted on in this so called "Greatest Country in History". Im not ashamed to say that even if I didnt agree with Obama's policies ect. I would probably vote for him because he is black(I am white btw). A black man in office is very important to the future in this country. Minorities and multi-racial kids are the NEW Americans. Obama's story alone gives hope to a huge black population that has been mistreated throughout the history of this country. Plus, most middle aged and old white guys are boring. Good blog. I like your music too.

Ha, i've just been on youtube watching a cool calm pete video and come accross another comment by you... Regarding 'red and black lumberjacks with the hat to match' and a fair few ppl incapable of detecting an ironic comment, and who evidently never heard a certain biggie song either... On a positive note, at least youtube idiots can be entertaining on occassions...

Even though it seems the powers that be want to make Freedom of Speech illegal, I say exercise it while we can.

And yes, sometimes that means letting some dumb-ass comment slide.

Ignorant is going to sound ignorant when Ignorant says some ignorant shit. But that's some real American shit to me.

When I heard about some people protesting or boycotting that new "Tropic Thunder" flick for the use of the word "retarded" or something like that, I thought it was for a dumb-ass reason.

But at the same time, that's the America I like. The America where you can do you and I can do me. The America that is close to dead at this point.

Not the America that the double-speaking president, politicians, news media, etc. would have you believe is America.

Lately when I hear some asshole say something that I totally do not believe in, or something that just shows their ignorance, I don't stress it because at least that's a sign we still have a little bit of our Freedom of Speech.

When it's all on some one-sided bullshit, even if you or the majority agree with that one-sided bullshit, that's when you'll know that Freedom of Speech is totally dead.

With that said, I'm on some fuck voting for the lesser of two evils (whatever that means). There's no way I'm voting for Obama or McCain.

And with electronic voting machines, what's the point of voting at all even if I did want to write someone in or let my little voice be heard?

It's like we're all a bunch of little Truman Burbanks and shit. But I didn't sign up for that.

Sorry for ranting but isn't that why there's a comment section? lol.

Peace.
